Quote from Parkett
"Everything within Philippe Parreno’s work is connected to a sense of political obligation. It is a social work that is rooted in relations between people and phantoms – phantoms of the past and future, of control and letting go. It is a permanent soft-attack on institutional structure combined with a series of evasive „contents“ that are also designed to confuse and criique the status of an artwork within society and, importantly, among artists."
Liam Gillick, Parkett No. 86, 2009

For his Parkett project, Philippe Parreno handwrote all four texts on his work from Parkett vol. 86 in a notebook.
This 53 page manuscript was then divided so that each edition consisted of one cut out sheet from the original notebook, with annotations and special illustrations by the artist on both front and back sides of each page.
